Prime all the way. A capful treats 50 gallons so it lasts a super long time and detoxifies nitrite and nitrate too :)

right now i'm using aquaplus, but I actually prefer Big Al's Brand, which I will get once I'm done this bottle.

I've always wondered about that. How does it "detoxify" nitrite and nitrite? It doesn't remove it from the water.

Other: Jungle's Start Right. Tried Tetra AquaSafe (or whatever it is) once, because they were out of my Jungle stuff, but I didn't like it much (I have no good reason for not liking it, I just prefer the Jungle brand). Someone gave me a bottle of StressCoat and I didn't have any problems with it. Jungle is cheaper though. It also helps reduce stress, adds electrolytes, does something with metals , and all kinds of other good stuff :p One bottle treats 480 gallons (US) and the "dose" is 1tsp/5mL per 10 gallons.

Chrloramine doesn't come to the UK!!
I am not too sure of that. One of the old reports I read said that they have revised the Nitrite levels to facilitate the use of Chloramine ......

blue_ram

not sure...I'd have to reffer to the handy dandy bottle info. I'm on trucked water from a river, so all I worry about is cholrine and chloramine...unless floride is evil :p

If it even does half of what it claims it's a bonus! And I end up only using about 5 drops for a water change!

well since there was no option for novaqua AND amquel, i just picked amquel.
like many, i started out using stresscoat. its what we had for my goldfish doomed to bowls when i was little and what my dad always used for our ponds.

heres the link from the other thread in case anyone missed it.
