Fancy & Norm Gupz

hey. i just bort a fancy male, and i think 2 fancy females ( i dunno if u can get fancy females but they look fancy) anyway will my normal guppies breed with my fancy ones ? i got 1 fancy male, 2 fancy female, 1 male norm, 1 female norm...thnx. also my fancies look alot smaller than my normals.. will they grow or not..? ty

When you say normal, do you mean wild or just plain looking? I need to know before I attempt to answer.

i mean plain looking . there both just a solid yellow wid a black dot on tale.

They can breed, although some of the babies will be rather plain. Guppies vary greatly in size and it usually has nothing to do with their designs. I've seen some guppies that are 5 inches long and some that are barely 1.5 inches long! It depends greatly on the food they are given when they are growing up. Variety and healthy foods helps them grow big. So does a lot of room to swim around in. I think that the more room they have to swim, the faster they will become adults.

ok thnx alot. also, can some 1 help me with telling if there prgenant..
my plain guppy, has been big bellied for about 4 weeks now, but has no gravid spot that i can see. shes had babies since ive had her.. and she didnt have a gravid spot then so..

also, ym two fancy females do have what i think is gravid spots, but at the shop they kept males and females serperate, and i noticed they had gravid spots about an hour after i put in my tank..
are they gravid spots or sumthing else? they both have them right above the anal fin thingy (?).
