OK after searching and searching i found a ldy who has mice!
not only mice, but whats called fancy mice!
there purposely bred to have better genetics and look nicer!
ill get pics asap...
btw one is pregnant!

:)

We used to breed fancy mice. Most ended up in our snakes belly :-( It was cheaper for us to breed them instead of buying them every couple days. And I told my husband that I wanted nice ones with nice colors. But our snake is gone now! Thank god lol

We had a silver one, a white one with brown spots, white with black spots, creamy silver brown one...really neat colors!

Yes I used to breed fancy mice for reptile consumption too, began because my local supplier closed his shop and moved away leaving me with no food supplier within a 15 mile radius.

now we have moved though we no longer have to do that and kept them as pets until they passed on. We had quite a few (i let the mother keep some of her babies each time so I ended up with about ten at one time in 2 tanks)

we had all sorts of gorgeous colours, my fave was a little black one with brown belly and white feet :D

ahhh by the way, if ur in wrexham if u can get to nantwich theres a place called stapely water gardens...they sell fancy mice for 2 quid each! wont take more than 40 mins drive for ya i dont think as i use the wrexham road out of nantwich when i head towards wales or chester.

My favorite one was a little female from the silver mouse. It was white with a few silver spots on its ears and back.

Lol most breeders kick off about the reptile feeders!
but i love reptiles and sorry a reppy has to eat eh guys?
its the same as fish keepers finding cheap ways of feeding why should reptile keepers!?

I used fancy mice for a Scince fair project last year. I had 2 mice adn ended up with 25 mice that were 1 inch big in 2-3 month's time. My female's name was Cinnamon. She was the prettiest Mouse i've ever seen. She looked like this: http://www.avidpet.com/images/petmouse.gif
But she had deep Cinnamon coloired marking's with grey and black. Ohhh, so pretty, but i cant remeber my photobucket acount name( my old one) as it had the pic's, so i cant get actual pic's!!!!! GRRRRRRR!!!!!! She was always pregnant and gave birth on average to 13 babies. Also, she had the nicest nature. She would come up to you and lick you, and sit on your hand. She would also roll over and act funny and smile. Ohhh i miss her. I had to sell her as my mom said i couldnt keep her after the project was over! I did get first place though. The male was a nasty though.; He would bite, kick, whip, grin, and growl at you. He would jump un adn do a backflip and land on the lid. I feel bad that the female had to put up with him. The babies were realtivley good natured. Note, i did notice that Black and white one's( i got about 4 per batch) would die before thier first moth. Only 1 made it to maturity.

still no babies!

do you hear the babie squeeking when there born?

Yeah, it was real faint though. After the first couple days you can really hear it. Got pic's from above? I could guesstimate when she ready to have babies. From the pic's she dosent look more than 1 week along.

i havent got any really rcent ones...
this was a week ago...

although looking at her bits there very "open" if you get me ;)

Just before she has the babies, she'll start furiously making a nest out of anything she can find and she'll spend all of her time in there. Depending on how many she's going to have, she might not show very much, either.

When she does have them, she more than likely will lay directly over them and you'll see little pink legs/tails wiggling around under her. There's not much to do for them, thankfully lol They're pretty good mommies and don't need much help usually.

True!!!!!!!! I would give her a week. Make sure you feed her well as she is going to be making alot of milk. Try feeding alot of sunflower seed's as it has lot's of naturals fats in it, an dwill be bvetter for the mom during hte time she makes milk( lactating).

well she never leaves her nest, but neither does minni.....
and it will break my heart if minni has babies as she is sooo young!
gerbil still leaves the nest at night and climbs areound too see me!
