F2 Yellow Pingu Guppies!

Ok so them being rare is definately good for me.

And they're are F2 in the states.

Defo rare in the guppy hobby, but there are a few specilist guppy breeders who do keep them, here in the UK there about 5-6 breeders who have them i know.

I'm planning to breed them when they grow up. I searched and only found 3-4 breeders here in the US I guess the rest aren't as well known.

Any idea as to how much I could sell the fry for helter skelter? You seem to know breeders so how much do they sell them for?

Sale price is purely a local variable. If you are the only person with them in the area and the LFS thinks they will sell well, you might get $1 each from that LFS. If you sell them directly to people, you might well get 5 times that for each one. The problem with direct sales is finding that one person in your town that falls in love with them and is willing to pay a premium for them.

Exactly you can have have something very rare, say a see-thru guppy which are for sale for $300.
But if no one wants them then your gonna have a lot of fish befor you sell a pair or two.

Here in the UK we usualy sell them no cheaper than £3 a pair ($5ets) but moscow's usualy get £10-20 ($15-25) a pair.

Then I guess I got a good deal as these fry were $2 each or $4 a pair and they're about 1-4 months in age.

They just arrived! They're very cute and tiny! They all look about 4 weeks!!!! I'll get pics later they've just been acclimated and I'm letting them settle in without the light on.

Go forward and get those guys in the right condition to breed them. If you get no more than typical guppies demand in your area, it will be just fine and you will profit a tiny bit. If there is a local demand, you may do much better than that. There is no telling until you actually have something to sell and you present it to your LFS. I would be tempted to give them a sample to sell and see how that goes. Until they have people asking where they can get those neat fish that they saw just last week, the LFS will probably not give you very much for them.

K just fed them some bbs and now letting them sleep. I'll get some pics in the morning. I'll happily do just that I ordered them hikari first bites food, and I'll be feeding bbs and crushed flake til it arrives.

I completely forgot about pictures!!!! They're very happy and healthy and growing very well. I'd say they're about 2 months old now and I've got either 1 male 2 female or 1 female 2 male. Hoping for the first. I'm taking pics right now so I'll put them up later! I promise!

Here they are! Any help with gender determination? I know I have 1 male, and I think 1 female as well but I'm not sure.
