eheim ecco pro

ive only had this filter for 2 and a half months, i clean it out every 2-3 weeks. the flow is rubbish its completely slowed from when i first set it up i put my finger in front of the pipe and can barely feel any current at all, and when i turn it back on after doing maintenance it spits out white stuff continuosly. ive also always got loads of debris floating in my water which my fine filter pad never catches.

rant over, any suggestions?

i think the propeller may be knackered, its the only thing i can think of. had a look at the box and seems im missing a media compartment too even though i bought it brand new :grr:

the ecco is probably about the only filter eheim make that doesnt seem to be up to their usual standards . id reccomend swapping it for an eheim classic 2217+ . that will be spot on for your tank mate .

i`ll never buy an ecco ever again, its even put me off eheim. the tanks going on ebay anyway but i need to sort this first

I had an Ecco once but it didn't stay here for long. Totally not user friendly. I have Classics and they work very well in the two four footers.
