Good Morning

I have a 150lt tropical tank and am looking to one external filter to same space inside the tank.
My budget is $200 Au

I was interested to know if anyone has any thoughts on
Fluval and Hydor external canister filters.

Locally i've seen Fluval 205 for $200
Locally i've seen Hydor 20 for $180

From the specs I like Fluval more,
Is it a good product?

I am currently using the Fluval 205 and not had any problems with it at all on my 170Lt tank. $200 do seem a little pricy though. As UK is always over priced and i can currently get the Fluval 205 for £68 this translate to $117 Au dollers. I would shop about abit as for $200 you could get a very nice filter Ehime Maybe ?

Unfortunately the cheapest I have seen in $177 ($159 + postage)
probably the price premium in Australia because it is European.

Eheim looks good
Which model Eheim should I look for? (Classic 2215?)

I would double check with someone who know alot more than me. But i would go for the ehime. Dont get me wrong as i said the fluval 205 is a great filter i am using it now but ehime is a far better filter. Also the Fluval filter uses ribbed piping and it is a pain in the you know were all the rubbish get stuck in the pipes and they are hard as hell to clean properly. I ended up changing mine to ehime piping.
