Fish can become immuned to certain types of medicine? I was sitting there today thinking about what happened if my balas became immune to Melafix? What would i do. Right now it is the quickest cure around to fix their knicks and bangs (they are such scaredy cats) so i have to add it to the tank almost everyday.

Does anyone have an answer to this???? and if they can become immune, any good suggestions on what i else i can use to heal the small bumps and scrapes and bruises my sharks get?

Remember I have clown loaches, so it would have to be something that can be used with sensitive fish!

The fish won't beome imune, but bacteria and virii sure can.

It's best not to over medicate to avoid creating resistant diseases.

I agree with sir minion,
If your fish are very healthy, and in a warm invironment then you shouldn't have to wory about infections.

my tank is warm and clean, however it is rather new (although i used many things from my 30 gallon to set it up) thats why i use the melafix. It just seems that every day theres new nicks and bangs. so everyday I have to use more. But i do alternate with stresscoat which also seems to help alot.
