I was wondering if you guys could estimate the age of my betta.
I bought him in May last year. His fins don't seem to have gotten any bigger than when I bought him. Not that I can tell anyway. So I think he was probably fully grown when I bought him.
How old is a full grown betta?
How old would you estimate that mine is?

Ps: I could probably post a pic if you really needed it, but it's hard to get a good photo of him.

its hard to tell really. Some bettas might look older than others even know they are around the same age. I suppose the lazyness of a betta might point out that he is older. Also by the sounds of it he is fully grown with being bigger and that his fins arent growing any longer...

Good luck with finding out though

Most Bettas in shops are already a year old. He could easily be 2 years old now. I think that's good for any fish! my oldest is about 10 months.. I have kept fish for 14 months.
