Equipment - What Is It And Where Does It Go?

I'm sure your fine, a normal reaction is itchy skin or feeling dizzy. use gloves in future though just encase.

im now scared of my tank! lol. what is the big yellow blob thing you can see in my pics....its no longer where i put it in the tank, its moved to the other side!! im noticing lots of other things opening up..theres like a pinky worm thing that just opened 'tentacles' at one end of its body. theres to snail things in there, and starfish everywhere, they are like a mini plague!

Zoas are lovely but just be careful with them :D

Hows the tank looking now then?

zoa....is that like the short name for the poisonous things? i was just reading some marine pages and read i should 'frag' my 'zoas' every month...what in gods name does 'frag' mean??

tank is looking better by the minute :)

Check this palce about zoas http://www.reefculture.co.uk/Forum/

and the worm is probably a bristle worm. :D

A frag is a small part of a larger coral that will grow further! Cheaper way to get corals

Yay glad its looking better :D

A 'frag' is the term used to describe a small piece of coral that has been ditached from a colony. Or a larger frag!

Zoas or Zoos is short for Zoanthids!

Are you running any chemical media eg phosphate remover or activated carbon?

Carbon will remove impurities from the water and keep it crystal clear and phos remover will keep the corals happy and reduces nuisance algae blooms.

erm possibly! there was carbon in one of the filter chambers, sponges in another, twirly ceramics in another, and something green and pellet like in another...not sure exactly what in which one!

welcome to the forum btw and dont worry about the nasty stuff we are trying to warn you not scare the crap out of you :good:

yes thats another thing in there, the former owner said becareful cause if i get stung i'll be in agony for days?

hav also spotted 2 featherduster(?) worms sitting on a rock, beautiful. OH has gone to bed but i cant drag myself away from the tank, every time i look theres something else new i see :)

on a lighter note this is the sort of help you can expect from us caring souls if you do get stung or poisoned http://www.fishforums.net/index.php?/topic/365990-ok-so-i-just-almost-died/

lol! what a caring bunch!

but on a more serious note thanks everyone who chimed in with advice tonight....im really grateful. think im gonna love the salty side :) (if they make it through the night!!)

Im sure they will make it no problems! If everything was well established hopefully it will cope with the move!
I don't have fish yet but recently moved my tank this weekend and corals are all fine so far which is a good sign!
With the sponges etc I think some say they can become traps for bad stuff and leechc back into the tank, might be worth someone confirming this though! (Im still unsure on what I say haha)
I love watching my tank, used to watch it and just look at it every 5 mins but now its in the garage I cant :(

I am sure you are going to throughly enjoy the tank!

hmmmm well the choice is yours  i would have a nice comfy chair a heater and a cd player in there ......oh and an ashtray  and a telephone for ordering cups of tea and bacon butties etc

haha no such luxuries here, i would have to move it every night as the garage gets walked through all the time!

in that case i would also get a big padlock and a no entry sign and build a serving hatch for the teas and bacon butties :hey:
