or do the same to a wast and see the fly get stung!!!

hmm...personally, i don't prefer to play with em....i just slap em in mid air with the fly swater. (since they usually land to high for me to get them while sittin)

theres some paper air plane thing for flies...you make a SUPER tiny paper air plane, and glue a toothpick to it....then you glue the other end to the underside of the fly. then you let it loose and watch it go. but thats just a waste of fish food imo.

When I was a kid we used to catch flies and cockroaches and get a magnifying glass...we would do the thing where ya can burn holes in stuff....to the insects....that was fun....

I've actually done this in my youth, but instead of impaling the fly, I used to tie the thread around a leg instead.

I always used to reward the fly with some sugarwater before letting it go afterwards though.

My dad used to do something like this when I was little. He would catch a fly in his hand (not an easy feat), shake his fist (to make sure the fly was in there), and then throw the fly onto the table (to stun it so it would stay still). He would then tie a bit of string, or even a strand of hair, around it. When the fly woke up and tried to fly away, my dad would let the fly "lead" him around the house as if he were taking it for a walk.

Get a fly, put it in the freezer in a jar until it is frozen.

Take it out, then tie a piece of cotton around its abdommen, being careful not to obstruct it's wings.

Let the Fly thaw out and it should come back to life, You then Have a pet fly on a string.


THIS is the humane way to do it..... Needles? Wine? Candles? Oh. Dear.
