When you have a nice clean tank how do you enjoy it?

Do you sit infront of it with a good book...
Sit in silence on the floor watching and observing...

Myself, I will indulge in the best chair in the house and a good bit of music from my headphones so I can watch they fish and really indulge my senses.

What do you do to simply enjoy your fish?

Well, I have tanks all round the house, so it's different tanks at different times, for me!

I sit with one of the living room tanks with my morning coffee; either the tiger barbs/zebra loach or the Congo tetra/corydoras at the other end of the room. Then, I'll sit with the other one with my next coffee, once I've walked the dog.

The panda cory/silvertip tank is in the kitchen, so we watch those while we're making tea/coffee/cooking etc; I used to have the tiger barbs in the kitchen tank, but they were too good at begging for food and were getting seriously fat with everyone in the house giving them pinches of flake, even though they were told not to!

My bedroom tank is for while I'm sat in bed reading or on my PC :) It's not quite as restful now as it used to be, as I've had to put my angel in it, as he was being nipped by the Congos, and he does chase the hatchets sometimes, though they're far too fast for him to get anywhere near.

..you must get through a lot of coffee! Sounds like a wonderful place, although I think I would get slightly nervous with all those beady little eyes all over the house looking at me. You must be constantly doing tank maintainance.

Anyone do anything special when they are with their tanks?

I have an open plan kitchen/dining/living room kinda thingy going on but I can't see the tank from the living room so I park my laptop at my dining table and while away the hours on TFF :D I also watch a lot of "shows" (vloggers to those who know ;)) on youtube so I will sit there then as well. Lots of tea is consumed while sitting watching the tank :)

I love taking pictures of my tank and fish so that's another way I enjoy my tank.

When I am in my living room, I have the Oscars, and my community tanks to sit back and enjoy. I have a great view from my couch, so I can sit and watch without disturbing the fish. I can watch them behave naturally. Right now as I type this, I am watching my kuhli loaches do the dance they do! It's quite amusing. I also have a room dedicated to my breeding fish, which is my malawi tank, jacks and GTs. With them, I'll and and get next to the tank as the fish will interact with me when they see my face. My male GT flares at me, my jacks try to eat me, and my malawis just want to be fed!

Well my tank is always extremely clean (has to be) although not in the sterile sense of course!

I hardly notice it most days until someone comes in and goes WOW :hyper: what a tank! then I gaze at it for an hour or so.

I watch mine everyday as two of mibe are in my front room. The length of time i watch them depends how much beer i have in!!! .
Do love watching my tank tho, find it very relaxing.

I have my tanks in the kitchen as I have 3 kids 4 and under so thats where I am at alot of the time :D. I really enjoy watching the bettas swim around, I have them set up on my window sill and while I am doing dishes they get pretty active :fun:

My tank is next to my computer and also in front of my couch. Often first thing in the morning before I turn on other lights I get my coffee and then sit next to the tank and just watch them. Then, throughout the day as I'm working I will glance over and smile at them :)

I got eight tanks scattered around the house.

Three in the living room which I can all enjoy from sitting on the sofa. I usually watch the fish in the evenings for hours, the TV doesn't get much attention anymore.

Three tanks in the kitchen/diner, which I can also all see from my seat in the dining table. This is where I have my cigarette breaks (naughty me...) and my laptop is usually here, so like now when I'm online I can always look up at them. The betta tank in the kitchen is next to the sink, so he entertains me while I wash the dishes and the puffer tank is on the worktop where I prepare dinner, so again, I have a chat with them while I cook.

Then there is one tank in our bedroom which I enjoy just before going to bed or early mornings when I can't be bothered to get up yet. And my son has shrimps in his room and we watch them for a while before his bedtime.

a quick peer into the tank at any moment my offspring aren't distracting me.
