I need your help!!! -_- :(

Im trying to buy a tank around the size of 70 to 120 gallon tank. Pref without the cabinet... My 18th birthday is on the 25 of oct, and i would like to get a tank.
I live in Bristol, southwest england.

I have researched the net over and over again day after day, and i am fed up of finding the same websites with the same prices which are to far away!

Does anyone know any Uk based companies, which will get the tank to me by mail, or if not to far, i could visit it???? Please help me. Its really starting to bug me.

:-( :-(

There is not a courier firm in the country that will handle glass tanks so mail order is out of the question.
If you are on a budget try looking in loot and other publications which have sections for second hand aquarium products, there may be something in your area.

It's worth being patient and waiting for something to come up on Ebay or Freeads in your local area. You probably won't have to wait more than a couple of weeks and there are not usually too many bids for tanks that have to be picked up by the buyer. You will need a friendly relative or friend with a van or estate car to pick it up, but maybe suggest they do this favour in place of a birthday present?

Now there's an idea.

"What do you want for your birthday?"

"You to take all the rubbish in the garage to the tip."

Yes, the more I think about this, the more I like it - great AA.

I agree with spanky_pp_ I'm two looking to obtain a large tank 6 1/2 - 7feet
The Internet is very poor it looks like the tank industry as not yet heard of e-commerce’s as a way of increasing turn over - yet.

I’m sure the first company to take this step to selling online, will benefit (should their service/product but of excellence standards). I also think the level of Internet site relating to mail order (tropical fish) consumable is also very poor. The ability to separate information from the product is the main advantage to online shopping for example Amazon has a good web site, image been given personal reviews, Images, stock levels, prices, free delivery ect…ect…

I might start up a business dedicated to the fish keeper?

I also fail to understand the transport issue! Use a good courier and pay the little extra!!! I’m sure more people would pay the extra?

there i've had my say :D

I find fleece markets (called here 'trash and treasure') very good...I've only ever been a few times and theres always tanks there...for really good prices. ;)

B.A.S aquatics sells them sized tanks and they have a sale on i think or clearence when i was there the other week...its in bolton tho but im sure U.P.S will courier it for u....i know they deliver glass

 im not sure about ebay... Ive found a few tanks on there, but i dont trust ebay... Especially with all the press released recently.
I dont know if you knew, but ebay was recently in big trouble for swindeling money of thousands an thousands of customers.
B.S.A doesnt have prices on the site. And im not really into the whole wood cabinet finnish. It reminds me of my grandparents living room vase and clock cabinet. yukkk.

You can only speak as you find and I've done nearly 100 transactions on Ebay with only one causing me problems (minor problems at that). Ebay have never swindled me out of anything and most of my family trade on it too, in various things.

spanky do you happen to have a link to verify this so we can read it? I've never heard this before.

I've used ebay a couple of times and know tons of people who do regularly and never have I heard of a problem with ebay.
