Elongatus Chewere

He's a stunner! Love the coloration thru the tail. I understand they can be quite aggressive as most Metriaclima are so sounds like you got a more even-keeled sort

I've actually have owned quite a few Chewere over the years.  I've never had any issue with them.  They can get aggressive with themselves but any cichlid can.

So you would say they are more con-specific aggressive?

Yes like most other Mbuna...but sometimes you get better behaved individuals.  My overall experience has been good when it comes to aggression.  My other male chewere is more aggressive (wild caught) then this one..but hes also probably the most aggressive I've had of this species.  Wild caught species tend to me more aggressive I found...this is probably why they have survived in the wild.

Stunning boy! He swims around real arrogant like doesn't he :p
