Elephant nose fish!

kept them difficult fish these, prefer a sandy substate, or very fine! hard to keep, i bet some1 here as more knowledge than me

check the oddballs forum. I have kept one for months... I see them as a very hardy fish. Mine is my pride and joy... any fish that dares attack him is immediately delt with, and shipped out. I've read that they do prefer a sandy bottom, but even when I had him in gravel, he was fine. A very docile fish, I've never seen him pick on another. He eats brine shrimp and bloodworms, but I try my best to special feed him so that tank mates don't chow down all his food. He's learning to eat from a pipet. I've also found that when changing the substrate, he temporarily turned *very* light in color... and gave me a real scare, but he's fine now. Caves are a must... mine likes a rock that I leaned up against the glass to the front of the tank [so I can see him, even when he feels safe]. I also have a terra cotta pot in with him. If you have any further questions, let me know! =)
