I want to ensure Im mixing my ferts right. Does 1g of chems approximately equal 1mL?

it dpends on grain size. Powders from AE arre really fin whereas the powders from garden direct tend to be lsightly larger.

So then when EI dosing do most people have an accurate scale?

My ferts are from Greg Watson and the powder is quite fine.

I thought I remember from chemistry years ago that 1ml of most salts approximatley equals 1g...

Thanks for any help

I bought a scale when I started doing EI. Here <-----thats it! Hasn't failed me yet. Though I did have to buy new batteries for it today. If you get it, you can take it to a jewlers and see if they will calibrate it for you. I should probably take mine with me to my chem lab and see if they will calibrate it for me. I've been using mine just how it came out of the box since I got it. I haven't had any problems. Tanks look great!

Since it is really tiny, it helps to set a paper cup on it. Tare it, then measure the ferts into the cup.

As for 1gram= 1 ml I don't think thats right........ for some reason I want to say 1 gram= 1 cm cubed.......but I'm not certain
