hey guys can some one tell me if ya need that irritating little flow ball in this eheim 2232 filter flow was restricted big time and ive took it out and its great now nice flow will leaving it out do any harm any help appreciated thx

I can't see that removing the flow meter float can do any harm, but at the same time, it shouldn't really cause a problem leaving it. None of my Eheims have a flow meter/indicator such as you describe.
