Thanks mate, always giving me good advice :good:

All i need to do is find out how to attach the spray bar now

Best way is get a shepherds crook attachment .... http://www.aquaessentials.co.uk/eheim-shepherds-crook-outlet-pipe-12mm-p-895.html

Output tubing from your filter attaches to the longer end of the crook, which hooks over the side of the tank. Then a short length of tube connects the shepherds crook to your spray bar. Use a suction cup/clip or two to hold the spray bar in position.

Ok - how does the output tubing attach to the crook exactly? is there a connector? The short length of tube i can get when i buy the shepherds crook - does that just push on or does that need a connector? sorry for all the Qs but there's no info on the net about it!!

It'll be just a nice tight push-on friction fit with the Eheim tubing. Push it on a centimeter or two. Don't worry it won't come apart in a hurry.

Thanks :good: had to check before putting a high pressure water stream through it lol

I found the Eheim hosing to be pretty poor when I replaced my Tetratec. Too soft and kinks easily so I used the Tetratec hosing instead :)

For media mine has 2 trays, bottom is the creamic 'hoops' with a coarse sponge on the top, the top one has those balls that look like cereal (is ehfi?) and then floss on top.

Works incredibly well. Better than all the sponges, hopps, bioballs, floss etc in the tetratec.

Oh and the filter is much much quieter too, especially the vibration aspect as it has much better feet.
