Eheim External Filter In Juwel Vision 180 : Where's Your Spray Bar

Hi,

Thanks to everyone for previous help/advice. I've got the Eheim 2026 external filter up and running okay, but just wanted to find out from anyone with a Juwel Vision 180 tank where they've put the spray bar - i'm continuously fiddling with it, and just can't seem to find the right position.

I've current got the inlet and outlet pipes on the lefthand side of the tank (coming in from the back), and the spray bar is spraying from left to right side directed at the top of the water (creating slight turbulence) - also, I had to cut down the spray bar to fit it into the width of the tank as it was too long, hence I've lost two holes in the spray bar now !

Sorry for rambling, but i'd like to get some ideas if this is right or if there is a better/alternative way to do this as from what I've read the water should be flowing out of the spray bar, around the tank, and directing towards the outlet pipe at the bottom of the tank.

I have a Juwel Vision 180 with an Eheim 2224 and a Installation 2 kit spray bar set (the opaque ones - not the green ones). I didn't have to cut or adjust anything, so can't really compare that to the green set.

But my inlet is in the right hand side (running up the back) and the outlet spray bar runs on the left hand side (left to right) and fits perfectly.

Thanks - i've got both the inlet and outlet pipes on the same side of the tank - does that matter much?

Am going to get the installation 2 set too - looks bit more practical.

It's an expensive kit, but in my opinion worth it and I prefer it to the green standard set.

No, I don't think it matters much that they are both on the same side, though you might get slightly better circulation and less chance of "dead spots" of you have them spaced a bit.
