Eheim 2213 Users Or Classic Users Question

im pulling my hair out because it seems like my filter is barely pushing water thru the outlet tube..im pretty sure it should go more than it does.i cant even use the jet nozzle at this point..ive cleaned all parts including hoses to see if there are obstructions and find none..what else can it be..it seems to prime fine after i release the double end taps and lots of bubbles flow..hmmmmm.eheim is supposed to work really well right? i gotta be missing something..any suggestions..thanks

i noticed mine doing this the other day. so i panicing and turned it off with the intention to clean clean clean. however i turned it back on and everything was ok again.

i assume that's been tried?

i think i figured it out..i wasnt taking the water out of the spraybar line completely..which meant a bucket under the double end connector while pulling the spraybar completly out of the tank.i was only emptying the side coming off the cannister..hope this helps someone

is it my tank or do these tubes for the intake and return lines get clogged up fast.i havent had my filter running for no more than a couple months and had to clean them twice already because the flow was really restricted and slow..i know it wasnt the prime now since after figuring out how to start the prime right i still had low flow from the spraybar till icleaned out the pipes.these pipes are rather small compared to my rena xp-1 and i never had these problems with that filter.its a a planted tank and after cleaning out the flow was normal..just too often they seem to get clogged.

What size tank are you running it on ? I'm running my 2213 on a 19US gallon planted and seems to be doing a really good job. In fact it's been so strong I fitted a different spray bar to diffuse the flow a bit. I've had mine since around October I think and have 3 times - but it's never been really dirty or seemed clogged. Just figured it was time to do it.

Your profile says you have a 29gallong tank running with 2 aquaclears - is that the tank ?

yah i need to update that..been fiddling around with the tank too much..its a 29 us gal
what filter media are you using? im running 4 course blue pads and one white fine pad

I have had problems with my filter not starting when it is switched off and back on again...but my flow has been strong throughout. Although i recently replaced the whole impellor due to a really thick build up of limescale on the old one but once the old impellor had dried out the limescale just flaked off! Oh well atleast i have a spare
