I have been pricing up some egg crate, at least i think most people call it that to help me build a reef, at my lfs it was £30 for a 3ft sheet, i was shocked, i must be able to get it else where, much cheaper than that?

Wow, that's a LOT. It's only ~$15 here at our local hardware store for a 4'x2' sheet...

Hi Ski

yeah i know i thouht that, The shop i went does tend to be on the expensive side, but £30, no chance, i had a quick look round a hardware store today but could not find anything similar that i could use.

Well the first prob is your buying it from the lfs, of course its marked up... usually is with most things liek that. They are nothing different from typical stuff, but because they mark "perfect for aquariums," the price can go up.

A local store should have it. I know HD and lowes both have them, so anything similar to them where you live should have them, check in the lumber/contractor section of the store.... thats where they are because its not typically homeowners buying them.

Ox :good:

lol thanks was going to ask the same question myself, now I dont have too :)

warning on the ebay stuff though. Buy the ones with the square holes rather that diamond as its better to cut
