Eden

All the plants turned up today but I had to wait till 8pm to get the scrubbing brush to get the algae off the rock with so started scaping at 8:30pm, filled with the garden hose to save time and as I plugged the filter and heater back in the lights went out for the usual 10pm lights out lol, so after all the rush no pics. :( But on a good note, tomorrow there will 3 Scarlet Badis in there, the CRS I ordered will be going in Cuban Delight as it's mature and I won't be so worried about ammonia spikes. There will be 200 or so RCS in there tho and I'll be testing for ammonia every day as the florabase will leech but with the mature filter I think it will be ok, maybe every other day water changes for a couple of weeks.

Good news, look forward to photos so we can see the new creation.

There is never enough time in one day for us is there, I have just sat down after fiddling with my tanks and its time for bed !!

g'night :D

Yeah mate, I know what you mean, I nearly didn't bother today lol

Hi guys and gals, finally got a few pic's with tired hands tonight but a few came out ok. I need to borrow me ma's camera really but here goes. I know its not bushy and lush yet but with some trimming and replanting it should get there, then after that its into donations lol. I had fun getting the algae off the rock and then planting everything in some kind of pattern to mimic the Dutch style. Most people will also say that dutch scapes don't usually have rocks and wood but rules are made to be broken. :)
I also didn't realise how little Florabase I had left so I used some of the old sand gravel mix underneath, plus it probably has loads of nutrition in it too.

Plants laid out.

I would but they're not as good flow as this, this thing is rated at 750lph so well call it 350lph lol, that ammount in this little 35 means I'm getting really awesome flow atm, plus I wouldn't fit it on as it has the eclipse light unit on and it fills pretty much the whole top. Thanks anyway mate.

Thanks Mike :)

No worries mate, tank is looking great, look forward to more piccies as it grows in.

Good start Steve, any chance of a FTS from abit more of a distance away, hard to get a full tank image from the pics.

Yeah mate I'll post one up very soon, the Stems are growing up quite quick, esp the Stellata, love that stem it's stunning.

Problem is I'm not too sure about trimming it, I know I can trim and re plant the Aromatica and Star Grass but dunno about the Stellata?

Requested pictures, the Hemianthus and other stems are growing fast. :)

yer =D all 3 tanks look good... this one could do with a little more growing but its defo a great looking tank allready =]

The stellata looks great, I put a pot's worth in mine today but not sure how well it'll do with the light I have. We'll see. Where did you get your Limnophila Aromatica from? I bought some of it and put in today but it doesn't look at all how I expected it to (though that may just be the emersed growth), yours looks more like what I was expecting.
