the only problem i see here is that some people think oscars turn around rigidly like an articulated lorry,

infact all fish i have ever kept have had the ability to bend their bodies to turn around.....have u never seen a fish in a plant pot?

But if the fish is constantly having to turn around in a space not that much bigger than itself over a long period of time it leads to spinal deformaties.
