This seller is a total ****!

he recommends a 170 litre tank for an 11" Albino Oscar and a 12" Red Oscar!

He's even keeping them in a Juwel Trigon 190!

Un-smegging-believable!

I think he ment for each, in which case 170 litres is the minimum like he said. He is selling them because his tank is too small. I dont see the problem here?

The only thing crazy is how much money he wants.

75 dollars for 2 oscars? ####. He is out of his mind. I could get those same 2 for 25 at a Auction.

i read that as minimum 170l for the two.

he has four large fish in that tank, unbelievable!

have just sent him a message 'is that 170L per fish that they need or for the two? your ad is a little unclear'

just got a reply

'Dear spishkey,

hi,they need at least a 3ft tank,it all depends wether you want to put them in with other fish,at moment they are happy in 190litre corner tank but they are on their own.

i think his definition is that if they arent dead then they must be happy

75Gallon is minimum for an Oscar and thats 285L not 170, 170 is only 45Gallons

Thats personal oppinion , i know people who had Oscars in a 55g tank. He grow to full size, great coloration, and was over 8 years old before passing away. The reason for passing away, he smashed the heater and it cut him quit badly, and get severly infected. I would never put a Oscar in a 45 g though, that is just ASKING for trouble.

they might not be fully grown, could get away with keeping an oscar in a 150-200 litre tank while they young i guess. maybe the guy is selling them due to this:)

Oscars get 12 - 14inches and at 8years old if they was not this big then they was stunted, you may say a 55 is the minimum tank to keep an Oscar in buit is it not cruel to keep a fish in a tank when the fish gets 14inches and the tank is only 12 inches wide?

I dont think this is personal oppinion I think this is doing your part as a fish keeper and keeping them in a tank where they can as least turn around, no?
