wow exciting .... I wish I wasnt working nights this week so I could hurry and finish this!!!

1. fill line is a great idea ... I've been thinking of that myself ... I was thinking of using a bit of glass paint for it.

2. Price ... to make enough profit to cover my initial expense and have enough left to join IBC I need to get about 25 each. The price that woman selling the tiny 20 oz. ivy bowl/gumball things on ebay is starts her bidding at 14.99 with a buy it now of 24.99. hmmmm I'll have to do some figures but how about a 20 starting bid and a $25-26 buy it now?

3. the pushlight is connected with mason screw into the terracotta top ... the light can be slid to one side and removed to replace the battery but this takes a bit of effort so it shouldnt come off by itself.

4. there will be a choice of 4 gravels: natural, blue, blue/green mix, or black and about 5 or 6 kinds of glass marble (the flat ones)
I have the one stone jump but I'm going to do one that looks more like a fence
I'm also looking for one other theme to do.... maybe something Asian?
I also have water conditioner sample packets to include with the first 4 I sell.

5. Betta care sheets will be included... thank you Kiarra ... and I have added some info from Wub's pinned topic on betta care.

EDIT: just noticed gumball lady has a 1 gal she's starting at 34.99  expensive AND tacky

It sounds like you've got this well-thought out. I'm rather impressed by how well this is coming along. You're doing a great job.

Asian could definitely be a theme. What were you planning on adding for it?

Oh, and your price sounds entirely reasonable. Maybe you should offer the first one at about $15 starting bid, and about $23-$25 buy it now price? That way, you can raise the price later on others, when you've got more feedback under your name.

can you post a link to them when you get them up?
edit. this is such a good idea that I think once I get a job next summer I am going to make similar things, but I promice I will not compete with you!

I had an idea playing off of some suggestions here. use straws and aquarium sealant for the pole jumps. Attatch them to a stone base and there you have it! Lol.maybe make a 3 bar jump! OO that would be cute!

OK ... asian theme, I was planning to do this mostly with colors, maybe find something feng shui online to work from. An if I can come up with some kind of aquarium safe ornament.... oh hey ... maybe a mini underwater zen garden with white sand and black rocks !!!!

Anyone who is inspiried to put together some kits like this is WELCOME to compete with me :p THis is really for the fish after all .... I just want to recover my costs and make enough cash to join IBC.... who knows .... maybe even be able to afford a decent CT pair. I just want people to know that they can have a stylish AND adequately sized tank.

UK shipping would probly be awful ... anyone over there want to start making them too? :D

i got the best idea for the horse jumps. At like walmart they sell those my little ponys and those little stable kits things for super cheap there might be a jump in there to use. I made a jump for one of my fishes and it lovesswiming threw the diffrent bars it is soo cute. ill post a picture of it to give you some great ideas :)

and you said about the zen garden that whould be an ADORABLE idea you can use white sand and ass stones like this Zen Garden
Have fun!

The Asian theme with a Zen garden could be simply very lovely. I like your ideas for it.
