Fish Crazy
My craft store was having an AWESOME .... as in better than wholesale ... sale on their glassware today. So I bought what I thought were some 1 gal fish bowls and then some 1/2 gallon bowls. I was going to keep the 1/2's for medicating, isolation, emergency etc...
ANYWAY ... my point ... I'm getting there ...
Turns out I suck at guessing size and they are actually 2 gallon and 1 gallon bowls
I also got some silk plants ... didnt someone on here use craft store silks to make aquarium decor? if so PM me
AND ... my point ... still getting there
So I'd like to fix the 2 gal bowls up into betta kits with some TFF approved basic betta care sheets, a pack of gravel/marbles/whatever and a silk plant. I also have a pile of water conditioner packs so I could include one, and I'm going to silicone attach the bowl to a wooden base. I also got some of those battery powered push lights that I'm trying to figure out how to make a lid an attach.
Materials cost for this venture was less than $10 per kit ... I'm thinking I could get at least $25(+s&h) per bowl on ebay, or maybe even sell locally.
If we as responsible betta owners start putting decent sized bowls out there with info on minimum size .... who knows ... it could catch on
and I'm bored and need a summer project.
I will post a pic here as soon as I get one made.
SOOOOO what does everyone think
Can yall give me some good theme ideas??? My sister suggested I put a little horse jump in one like its a show-jumping-betta hee hee I though that was cute.
