the apitostogramma looks ver beutiful.
but i really do like the idea of corydoras, as i have seem threads about it in the catfish section.
theey look very cute and active.

I would say corys

I've done the livebearers,i love guppies etc but they're breeding machines  and i had 400 plus fry at one time,so decided to give them new homes.

Now the corys are going mad

Kribs or Convicts are one of the easiest fish to breed, not to mention, they are spectacular looking fish :good:

something not to hard to breed.
and possibly dont need to move the parents out?
If you like catfish, then you could try Bristle Nosed Plecos (Ancistrus temminckii). They are really easy to breed as long as you have a male and a female. They are simple to sex as well as long as they are mature. All you have to provide them with is some wood and caves.
The father will protect the eggs which are laid in a cave. He will also keep an eye on the fry. You do not need to remove either parents at any stage as they will not eat the eggs or fry. They are really great parents!
My pair of Bristle Nosed Plecos just had some babies not too long ago and they are absolutely adorable! Their first attempt at breeding went horribly wrong when some mystery fish must have attacked the cave and scattered the eggs all around. All I found were two lonely eggs which managed to fall deep into the gravel out of reach. The two eggs did not survive unfortunately.
The second attempt which came shortly after the first fiasco went much smoother. I managed to save 13 two centimeter fry despite them being "born" into a community tank with some fish who would happily have them for dinner. I think the heavily planted tank played a big role in their survival. We had no clue that the father Bristle Nose was protecting and fanning eggs. We only saw the fry when they came out of the cave. Now I have the babies in a breeder box suspended in the main aquarium and I'm wondering what I am going to do with 13 of them!
They are a lot of fun though and I have found them to be quite easy. The fry are quite hardy and they are now eating sinking Pleco wafers and crushed up veggies (peas and cucumbers are favorites around here!).
So Bristle Nosed Plecos would be my suggestion for easy to breed fish. Some people find them ugly, but I think they are so ugly that they are cute!
Good luck with your new tank!
