My wonderful hubby is treating me to an early birthday pressy, a new fish, Minxy and I are picking him up later today, pics will follow. Thats if Minxy doesnt beat me up, leave me in a ditch and steal this one

It is a cichlid, a large one, peaceful.

If its any help with guessing, which it probably isnt, its a fish Ive always wanted but as yet, dont have the room for, although if it doesnt work out with star4 (and Im sooooooooo hoping it doesnt ) I shall be aquiring a new LARGE tank for it

Mmmmm, you guys are taking too long!

Big cichlid, peaceful too....I would have thought a choccy or severum but it's not gonna be, at a guess is it an Uaru although I would have thought you'd need a group? Or perhaps a texas relative, i.e. a pearlscale (Herichthys carpintis)? All the central biggies are nasty critters...I'm stumped

Could well be. I can't think of any other "big" cichlid with any reputation at all of being peaceful at all except for pearsei.
