Yes I did check up on them, he has been munching vegi flake like crazy and he seems to rather like lettuce too.

Broccoli, spinach anything green and munchable, they also like algae apparently.

I'd never seen one of these in the flesh and the same day you've got one, I have just taken one in at work. No where near as big as yours though.. maybe 7" or so and they have had it a year. It ate out of my hand straight away after the move and seems so laid back... it's a shame I don't have my other tank yet as I would take it home!

I have only had him a couple of hours and loving his gentle nature, he comes straight upto the front as soon as I go near the tank.

I think the chap said he is about 18 months old so still a baby

Males can reach upto 16", females slightly smaller. This chap is 12"

I did actually buy this guy, not saying how much he cost He is not hand feeding yet, but I dont think it will take him long, he is very friendly.
