Dying Fish

hello i have had my freshwater tank runnig sence last year today i did a 50% water change and added the water condtion into the tank with cold water then a few hours later about 8 fish where dead my tank is 250 litters and is a 4 foot tank and some of look therre about to die what on earth is going on ?

need stats ammonia nitrate temp ph etc

Can you get the lfs to test it for you?

is the tank tropical or cold water?

if its tropical and you did a 50% water change using cold water it may have sent the fish into shock as the water wasnt matched before putting it in. small water changes are not too bad using cooler water as the tanks water will disperse the cooler water added quite quickly but a 50% change will adjust the tanks temperature by quite a bit and may cause shock to the fish.
