Dying Discus

Hi
I have a Brown Discus in a 180 Litre Tank who is showing signs of disease. (White Fins, sluggish behaviour, the usual stuff). He is the only fish in the tank as i was starting over. The water was perfect, the temp was fine. I have medicated him but he doesnt seem to be getting any better.

Any ideas appreciated.

What do you mean by 'starting over'?

You need to describe the problems more and provide pics if possible. What did you treat for?

Discus should not be used to cycle a tank, so I hope it was fully cycled and your test kits are ok. Also they shouldn't be kept alone, this may explain the sluggish behavior.

What are your water parameters? Was the fish newly purchased, if so did you match the suppliers parameters?

Has it been acting normally before?

Is it/was it eating?

Whats your water change and feeding routine?

discus should be in groups of four +...not on there own.

Discus will become quiet stressed when left alone, and most likely end up dieing due to disease...
