Hello,

Some stats about my tank:

30L Tank -

pH 7.5
NH4 <0.05
Nitrite 0.0
Temperature 26oC

3 DG (2 female - 1 male)
3 Zebra Loaches

I've had the tank up and running about 4 months now and everything has gone swimmingly - regular water changes etc. filter fine and water temperature is stable. It's a heavily planted tank (as it should).

Recently, I did some plant trimming as some of the plants had gotten overgrown - so I trimmed and replanted - however there is still plenty of plant cover.

My Male DG called Titch is normally fine and he chases the two female DG all the time. Although recently (before I trimmed the plants) he's been far more lethargic, not eating his food (flakes) and his tail has started to droop. Also, he has taken to gulping at the water surface near the filter. I was worried that oxygen levels were too low - but all the other fish are fine healthy and aren't gulping.

I'm going to buy some bloodworms tomorrow - any other suggestions?

Thanks

I don't know what to tell you but my male DG had this same problem that started on Thursday night and as of yesterday at sometime after 3:30pm he died. I know this is rather gloomy, and yes all my other fish are doing fine including my 2 female DG's

Same thing happened to me today

The fish looked ill yesterday and when I looked today was lying on the bottom dead.

I checked the stats last night and they were all fine. It's never good losing a fish but when you see other people are suffering the exact same unexplaned problem it makes me at least feel that it's not my fault!

he's still acting the same - not dead yet. I don't know if I should just humanly kill him - he's not happy :(
