I'm thinking about turning my 10 gallon heavily planted and rocky tank into a dwarf puffer tank. I just want to know if I can keep a number of these guys in the same tank. I know they're fin nippers, but do they bother their own kind. If they can be put together, how many can I put into my 10 gallon?

Cool, well, I have a ton of rocks in there. There are many places to hide but, I'm not sure if there are 6 different caves, but there is a lot of plants for them to hide in. -_-

They need to be able to hide, and need something to break the line of sight from one another, if you have enough plants they should be fine. This is my DP tank, (none yet) (before plants)

I've also got a 10 gal laying around...dwarf puffers sound cool....maybe someone can hook me up with a link and some names?

Make sure you get 1 male and 2 females. You can find those kinds of pots just about anywhere, WalMart, your LFS, even sometimes garden centers. I really don't know where you can buy Dwarf Puffers online, but you can however ask your LFS to order them in if they don't have any in stock. they are very easy for LFS' to get in.

I'm waiting for dwarf puffers to be in stock... it sucks waiting. So far I've setted my tank up like so....

I hope all those plants and rocks will do. I'm adding real plants when I get my puffers.

You could get maybe 6 and have many caves crevices and hiding places even thow they ar not nockturnal 8)

Ron, what if I can't choose or determine what sex I get? I'm not sure if I can choose... -_- Oh yeah, and what kinds of foods will they eat? Will they eat shrimp pellets or freeze-dried bloodworms? :shifty: I'll also be posting a picture of my tank for the puffers later on in the evening. :kewlpics:
