Duckweed mania

I might use it in a tank with a sponge filter, or something like that. In a tank with any water movement it's a pain in the backside, and with an HOB filter it's a nightmare. But even without the water movement, why use duckweed when there are so many nice floating plants available?

Tropica is a Danish plant grower, so their plants are probably not available in the US. Besides potted plants, they also sell tissue culture plants, referred to as in-vitro plants.
FYI Tropica plants are available at most of our local fish stores, if they are available on Vancouver Island they should be available in the continental US.

for duckweed, there are many things I like to do
- crush and dry to feed to fish, or crush and feed wet to bamboo shrimp
- compost
- sell on etsy

I also have water lettuce that can is a competitor to duckweed, and it has longer roots aswell so it will suck more nutrients leaving less for the duckweed.
Personally I like it, it's just a little messy
