Hi Guys

Ok, so I'm rescuing the fish today, and only NOW has the stupid technician up there said I could have the Elodea tank (currently empty).

However, I don't have the space for an external filter, so I was wondering if using 2 internal filters (1 at one end going back to front, 1 at the opposite going side to side) would work?

It's a 96 litre tank (39H x 77L x 32D CM) so I dont know how else to do it :(

Also, I dont have enough gravel to cover the bottom (only expected having a 49 litre tank), so would no substrate work for the time being with 4 rummy nose tetras and 4 harlequin rasboras?

I'm hoping they don't die of shock from all this :'(

for a 96L tank, a U3 would be plenty.

the fish wont care that there is no substrate.

fluval u3 should be able to do the job, dont really know about the substtrate but it should be ok i think , someone else may be able to answer better

Just put in whatever substrate you do have it doesnt matter if its not covering the whole base. for £3 you could get a 15k bag of play sand from Argos that will cover it nicely if you wanted to.

One filter should be enough.

They didn't half take some catching. One of them had an eye that looks to had been pecked out :S No infection that I can see and his scales are healthy looking.

The poor little things have gone in a bare tank. But I will take one of my moss covered coconut halves in on monday along with some stuff I plan to buy over the weekend, and finally get some use out of the Tiki men ornaments I bought for my tank but swapped out for wood and plants :D I also have 2 pre soaked piece of mopani root ready, come monday afternoon they will have a lush beautiful home :good: I'm just praying they dont die over the weekend.

I left them to settle after introducing them to the new tank, and about 2 hours later before I left I sprinkled a little food on top (apparently they havent been fed for a week o_O they wolfed the food down, so I took that as a good sign that they were ok.

Please cross everything that I go back to alive fish on monday morning
