dropsy

bear in mind on sunday no symptoms, monday symptoms.

iv'e just read it can be cured. i guess just wait and see. might have caught it early enough as i treated on monday when i found it.

all the best and good luck.

sorry to tell you this, but i dont think it will survive, all my my fish deaths were from dropsy, i had medications for it and right when when the scales started to look funky, i put some medications in, they didnt survive :byebye:

In my opinion, Rachel, if you've already bought the medication, just go ahead with the treatment. What's the worst that can happen?

my poor little fishie has officially passed on. he was nose down when i got in from uni just now after being alive this morning.

i'm gonna coplete the course of meds i put in just in case any of the other fish have it or decided to nibble at the guy before i got in though he didnt appear to have been and they haven' been near him since we started the course.

got new weater test kit yesterday which says my ph is quite low, anything i can do about it? i added salt like the day before so could it be that that's lowered it? everthing is is perfect.

What is the ph of your tank at the moment, and what is the ph of your tap water.also sorry for the loss of your fish.

it's reading 6.6 to 7 in the tank. i'll just go check my tap water.

my tap waters reading 6.6!!!!

I would leave it as it matches your tap water, and the fish should be ok with that ph by now.
