I recently picked up some dragon stone for my 20g long apistogramma bitaniata / neon tetra tank. I had some issues with the stone leeching sediment into the water column, I'd recommend thoroughly rinsing dragon stone before adding it to the aquarium. I recently learned on the forum that apistos like caves with small openings for breeding so I created a hardscape with this in mind. Any comments are welcome.

Gorgeous.

Their preference for caves is astounding. I moved my breeding pair (and I was presumptuous) and their cave they used last time into a new 10g. There are 5 caves in the new 10 g - and within one week they had spawned in the exact same cave they used last time.

I use Apisto Caves as the opening is literally the size of a US penny (2 cm diameter I think). I suspect that your opening is a bit big BUT without predators and no other choices, I suspect they'll choose it to breed without issue.
