Don't Know What To Do *updated With Pics*

Well I finally was able to get some pics. They don't really show what it is too well though. It looks kinda silerish in color in the pics but to the naked eye it's a light blue/grey color.

Taken fro the link.
Chilodonella

Symptoms:

The skin and gills become discolored, taking on an opaque, bluish-white to gray coloration. The area between the head and dorsal fin is generally the most severely affected. In advanced cases skin begins to swell, eventually shredding and falling off in strips. Gills are also affected and may be completely destroyed. Clamped fins, listlessness, hanging at the surface and gasping may also be seen. The fish may rub or scrape against objects in the aquarium in an attempt to relieve irritation.

Cause:

The ciliate Chilodonella cyprini. These heart-shaped parasites, at a size of 40 to 60 microns, are not visible to the naked eye. The parasites are able to swim freely, spreading easily from fish to fish. Reproduction occurs by asexual division.

Treatment:

Highly infectious and able to kill in great numbers, Chilodonella may very well be the most dangerous skin parasite there is. Overcrowding increases the risk of infection. Acriflavin Plus, Malachite Green, Paraform, Quick Cure or Formalin are the drugs of choice for Chilodonella. All fish as well as the aquarium they inhabit should be treated.

Wilder, thank you sooooooooo much. I really appreciate it. I also appreciate you giving me the link to that reference site. I've been noticing that you help a lot of people to figure out what it is that their fish are suffering from. On behalf of everyone, I'd like to get down on my knees and bow to you. Thank you. :thanks:

Thanks.
Do you think the fish have Chilodonella as you don't tend to see it much, sounds like a very nasty parasite.
Good luck.

Yes. I think that may be what they have. I've noticed at times almost all other symptoms too. Haven't seen any clamped fins yet though. It says that overcrowding risks the chance of infection. I think I got it in my tank from one of my newer fish from the LFS. They overcrowd their tanks horribly. At the time I bought it I thought it was just the coloration of the fish. Of course I won't be able to find ot for sure if that's what it is. I will treat with the assumption that it is though.

Over crowding can cause alot of problems.
I had a good idea straight away about what the fish might have, as you gave a good description by the blue greyish colouration.
Velvet can look like a gold dust on a fish, also it can look rusty, yellow golden spots, can even be a white sprinkling of talc.
Good luck.

Well after researching into the disease Chilodonella more, I've become convinced that that's not what my fish either. The discoloration of my fish isn't opague. It kinda looks like their scales have become luminescent. Like their scales are changing color or something. I finally was able to get a couple videos of my fish though.

Please, any help is still GREATLY appreciated.

Can't make the pics out.
Velvet will look golden so shine a torch on the fish with tanks lights out, if its glows up golden colour the fish have velvet.

Wilder, they're videos. Did you click on them?

I'm convinced it's not velvet now. No golden at all. It's like a shiny light blue. It's mostly concentrated on their heads too. Right behind their eyes and under their mouths. At the end of the second video there's a second where you can see it better. Especially if you make the video bigger.

Any blue or grey fur like patches.

There's blue but it's not like fur at all. It's like their scales are changing color or something. It's kinda shiny.

Did it affect the gills first and the gill got a blueish tinge to them.
Also do the gills look mottled.
