Don't Go Shopping In Flipflops

So who helped you when you fell? Sounds like no one did. poor you.

I have to say that mind over matter where the fishes helped you still got them home in one piece.

You have to learn to milk it after you are better it should be no option for the family to help. How I how often have you done it for them?

I think most of us feel embarrassed falling at least you can blame your shoes.

The worst fall I had was when a trainers' lace got caught on an escalator and the metal almost tore my leg to shreds and like you I shopped then went home to discover what a lot of damage I had done.

I should have got the first aider out but I did my best to run off to Boots and hide the damage changing in the Ladies.

The best thing is you have fish to admire and good reason to sit and admire them.

Well you women will wear silly footwear, what you need is a nice pair of walking boots and then you will never fall over again.

:p
lol I beg to differ I have a fantastic pair of yard boots for horse riding and just generally to wear when I'm looking after the horse. One day I was walking up the stairs, caught them on the next step, fell over and slid all the way back down!

And I was wearing a nice pair of boots with only a little heel at the British GP this year. We walked up a hill to watch part of qualifying (there was a path at the side but my fella thought he knew best), and again, I was nearly at the top when I lost my footing and slid all the way back down the hill (thankfully it wasn't muddy, just wet grass) and as I slid, my boobs popped out my bra and top and all the blokes at the top were cheering me! I was mortified!

:D that image just made my day

tsk, tsk. flipflops are unisex. plenty of boys wearing them where i come from :p ;)

lol if i had of been wearing sexy heels and carrying fish i would have peirced the bag, luckily i hadn't got my fish then that really would have been a disaster, fish all over the car park, i would have deffinately cried then.
The only people that saw me were an v.old couple with a trolly full of plants, they couldn't help themselves much let alone me, they just pointed, looked concerned for 2 seconds and then carried on at their snails pace to their car.
i popped into wildwoods its the first time i've been there, v.impressed, i got a couple of my mbuna from there

Oh and ALESSASAVOCA that is so funny    i am so glad mine didn't pop out, that deffinately would have finished the old couple off.

CFC you are so right about the walking boots, it is quite a hike around all the fish shops there, they would have been more comfy and i wouldn't now have grazes on my feet either, luckily i was wearing jeans so that saved my knees

:drink: lol pica i thought you said unsexy, just read it again and its unisex, i gotta stay off the pims on a thursday evening

Angel you poor gal, that flipping sharp gravelly tarmaccy stuff outside Maidenhead Aquatics is eeeeeevul stuff. You must have gone down hard on the base of your spine to sustain such injuries. I felt so sorry for you reading that... hope you're feeling loads better now.

I spend half my life in Crews Hill  although I favour Wildwoods over the others (in all honesty, my favourite LFS isn't in Crews Hill but I can never resist a good look round the entire street lol) and I took the lo's to see the puppies and kittens recently and was horrified. It's not on is it - their cages seem very small indeed.

thanks mermaidmel, yes much better now, just a slightly stiff neck and a cut on my plam that keeps splitting when i change gear in the car which is a pain but my chauffeur thinks i've milked it enough so gotta get on with it lol. i can't stop thinking about those poor animals though.
regards Angel

Hope you're feeling a bit less sore and stiff soon.

I'm banned from going to the supermarket in flipflops, as 2 years ago I ran over my foot with a full shopping trolley whilst wearing them and broke 2 toes ! You'd think that was bad enough and I'd of learnt my lesson but no, 2 weeks later did exactly the same thing again to 1 of the original toes (in my defence I was still wearing the flipflops as I couldn't get proper shoes on yet because of the pain)

Hi Angel glad to hear you are on the mend

How are your new fish going?

I have never had problems with wearing flip flops (or as us Aussies call them Thongs or plugga's) ;) ....... you see they are like national dress code in the land of OZ

However I have a shoe fetish and stilettos (really high ones) are my fav so as you can imagine I have had a embarrassing fall or two in my time
