Does This Ever Happen To You?

I forgot about the mirror behind my bettas tank (again ) and now he has spilt his fins again but this time his bottom fin has been ripped 3 times at least half way up then his back fin is ripped all most all the way up to his body . Has this ever happened to you guys were you forgot about the mirror you left behind your tank and found your bettas fins ripped?

George doesn't have a mirror and he can't see the other bettas, but he has shredded fins again. Not as bad as when I temporarily moved him out of his tank for a 100% water change, but shreded just the same. I'm not sure that the mirror is the cause of the problem.

I know it is because there are no chew marks it's just a clean rip because he was flaring to long
