Does my betta have ich or something else?

I just noticed these white patches on his gills. Is it ich or something else? He hasn't been introduced to new fish but I did switch him to another tank that previously had fish that were all healthy.

Marbling can happen in any betta, no matter where you get him from. It's very common in bettas with the Koi coloring, like yours.

Another member has a female betta with colours similar to yours and this betta has changed colour dramatically
