Does Anyone Else Feel Like This?

does anyone else feel like this forum has gone downhill alot in relataion to the people on it.

i find that there is few horrible people on this forum coming up over the last couple of months. and they will do anything for an argument.

I think the forum needs to become more strict, as some people are really upsetting others. and i mean it is not the happy place to speak to people what it use to be.

I mean someone gets banned, but then they can just sign up with a different name etc, and do it again.
Is there no way of stopping this?

This is in no way a reflection of adminisrator or mods , i think they are doing the best they can, and are doing a great job recently especially in relation to the porn problem were having at the moment

personally, all i would say is avoid any posts that are developing that way, and maybe request a mod to close it.. i dont find the problem that bad lately actually but thats the only thing id say to do.

i totally agree with rocknurworld, there are alot of people acting like this, it always was a friendly forum when i used to visit before becomming a member. i think the people who are agressive know who they are, but i certainly know who the polite, friendly people on here are. good post.

You really cant avoid it. Yes, when i joined in 06, i thought the forum was a little happy place, now i dont come mone as often, or post as often, because people seem to be so rude. But, tis the internet, and 1000's of people belong here, what are you going to do? Also, Rocknurworld, if people are banned, they are IP banned, then that person cantaccses this site on thier comp.

I don't know. This exact same issue seems to come up every 2 or 3 months. I personally haven't noticed any real change over the years. Different members becomes more active and then less active, and the mood does change with the seasons and as school years start and end. But, all in all, I think that maybe you're just noticing things that were there before, or you're reading more or different threads than before... chances are that not much has really changed except your perception.

krib, even in 06, this forum wasn't really ever "little". This forum wasn't "little" when I joined in '04. The only real change that has happened is more new posts every day. But, beyond that, it has always been very busy with lot of active members, and there have always been personality conflicts. Like you say, you can't really avoid it. I think that the biggest thing is to realize that none of what anyone says about you on an Internet forum really matters at all. It's just a forum. And, similarly, you can only get bothered by what other people post if you let it bother you. Just take an even keel about it, and it isn't a big deal at all.

I noticed it getting more agressive over about 2 weeks, now things have seemed to calm a bit. I think its the case the bignose stated, moods change with different seasons, school year etc, Just have to deal with it really.

just remember to treat people as you would like them to treat you,online or not, ive only really lost it once on here, and i was annoyed at myself, but i always try to be polite and friendley ( nothing like in real life ) i know the people who get on my pip, and i avoid them, simple and yes Chris i have noticed what your talking about, and like one of the mods said in a diffrent thread,people like that come and go.
