Do you think these fish will go together

I'm thinking about getting the Black Convict Cichlidic and the Black Angel. Will these fish go together. Please reply. Also I was wondering what aquarium supplies and aquarum I can get for $50.

Well... yeah they'll go together, but I wouldn't recommend it. I don't think the angel would fare very well.

And you can't get much as far as aquariums go for $50, unless you look for used stuff, yardsales and what-not. $50 will buy you a new...

tank up to 29g
or one heater
or one filter
or lights/hood
or a stand for 29g or less
or a variety of little things like thermometers, nets, de-chlor, ect.

If you go 10g you could possibly get two of those items.

What you can get for $50.00 depends on your luck, and possibly your location. I have bought the majority of my tanks from the "Bargain Finder" newspaper, incl 2 new 35 gal tanks for $25.00 each.

I agree, $50.00 might set you up with a new 10 gallon if your lfs iis having a sale. I look around. I find a lot of 20 gallon turtle tanks for about 8 to 10 bucks used then buy the filter etc. new. Your looking at about $150 for a decent set up. If I was you though, I wouldn't go smaller than a 40 gallon... but then again I'm adicted. Soooooooooo many pretties to choose from and so little space remaining in my 8 tanks. Guess I gotta start shopping around for another 40 or 55 gallons.... <sigh> )

You can pick up a 10 gallon starter kit for 49.99 at most Wal Mart stores. It comes with a heater, power filter, hood, light and tank
