Do you prefer Bettas or Guppies

I like them both, it's so hard to choose. I chose guppies because that's what I'm keeping right now.

Of those two, I prefer Bettas. You can see them from across the room.

But...of fish in general, my favorites have to be Cichlids. I'm in love with mine.

Well, im not a big fan of either. But as Becca so rightly said.... Bettas are the choice of those two...

I have to say that Bettas got my vote too. I have 4 (not in the same tank I have to add - well 3 are in the same tank with dividers between them)
Sinatra is my red betta with blue eyes, he is the king of my community tank he is great fun to watch.
I also like cichlids and am sure one day I will possibly set up a cichlid tank. I like the dwarf cichlids and keyhole cichlids.

Betta = I can only keep one, and he will be slow and I have to make sure he gets food, can't keep fast species with him, have to make sure he doesn't hurt himself, got to take care of his fins . . . etc.

Guppies = Ceiling ornaments

hmmm . . . well, I could use the ceiling ornaments . . .

Betta's:
Lots of personality- just try giving them the wrong food and see what you get
they will either:

Spit out the food out - give you a look
or
They will swim up to the food look at it and give you the : "you really don't expect me to eat that do you?" look and swim as far away from you as possible- as if to say "come back when you have something better"

B) Can guppies do that?.......I think not.

That's why I choose drum roll please ......... you guessed it BETTAS
