Do you prefer Bettas or Guppies

guppies-little boring weaklings that all look the same.

betta's-exciting, mean lil men with attitude issues. (that may sound bad, but thats what i love about them) and they have colors of every shade, and mixes, and patters like you wouldn't believe.

I've never really cared too much for guppies. But bettas... Yeah, I love 'em. Each one has a unique personality, unlike most fish you come across.

And other fish I prefer? I LOVE plecos...if I could have one of each kind, I would. I also love clown loaches.

i think guppies are great! they have just as much personality as bettas and you can keep mor ethan one in the same tank! i keep the "bland" gray guppies sold as feeders. most of mine are females and i cant see how anyone could say they are dull. just like bettas, if taken care of correctly they will reward you with trust and personality. im not sure i can choose. i lvoe them both!

I got my first guppies about two months ago and all I can really say is that they eat. Yea. My bettas were always cool and they were fun to watch, my guppies, I don't know, it's just not the same... As to other fish, I loved a pleco we had when I was a kid, and my goldfish, and my brothers bass and eels and shovelnosed catfish, the oscar, pirahanas...

My Son LOVES BETTAS.....He has 7 and all have their own personalities and attitudes....Like one Loves shrimp Pellets while another hates it and loves bloodworms.......While Guppies are all the same.


So Bettas Take my vote!

there are advantages and disadvantages to both parties



Guppies They are very hardy fish,they reproduce alot even when u dont want them to,they are cheap,they are easy breed.they are not as pretty colors.

Bettas they are very hardy fish,they dont reproduce alot(as much),they are a tad bit more expensive to get and take care of,They are a challenge to breed,they have much prettier colors

you can get some awesome guppies, and they look great when you have a few together. Not often you see a "school of bettas..."
I think bettas look scary!

i wouldnt keep either...they are two of the fish i really dont like...along with platys and mollies.
