Nice and simple... I just wanted to get a quick feel for peoples stance on this as I keep getting conflicting advice!!
 
I always have salt in my tank, and I have 4 cories and a pleco - they are doing just fine!

I don't add nearly as much as is recommended though - about 1/4 to 1/2 of what the label says.
 
I've tried salt and never found a benefit, my fish were healthy before adding it, they were healthy after adding it, and they continued to be healthy after removing it again.

If you keep your aquarium as clean as possible then you have nothing else to worry about, IMO/IME.
