Man, two fish board registrations in one day!


I'm glad it's back up, glad I'm back, and glad I'm a newbie again so I can start asking silly questions again!



Here's the first one...


I have a 5 gallon tank with 10 male guppies, 1 female guppy, 2 clown loaches, and a baby alligator. Can I add a small angelfish?

In response to your question yes add lots of baby angels but alligators hunt better in pairs

Let me ask one more question - in my 10 gallon tank my water readings are: ammonia=200ppm nitrite=20ppm nitrate=0.5 . My pH is 3.7. The gravel is made of broken glass and the decorations are metal shards painted with nail polish.

What kind of fish will flourish in this environment?

ah i see you are seting up our local river system style tank ,can i suggest a shopping trolly or two. As for the fish the 3 toed lesserspotted scuttlefish thrives on
metal shards and glasss but i think the gator will have to go as it wont stand a chance with the 3 TLS

cation you might want to try some green slime in that tank, it will help the fish
