Do Fish Sleep?

Short answer....Yes!
Long answer....Yes they do! :p My platties tuck themselves right under the jug ornament in the gravel most nights to kip.

My bettas balance themselves on the fake plant leaves so that their lips are above the water.

I guess my bettas are lazy, they dont need to swim at all to the surface to breathe when they are asleep. Well, maybe not lazy, smart. Yes, smart.

Yep, they sleep. If you have Guppies, you'll notice if you walk in and look at the tank after lights out, you'll see all the Guppies on the bottom and looking dead. This is where I usually panic, then turn the tank lights on and see them all swim up and look for food. And yeah, my Bettas do the same thing as Justin's.

Lol, I'm never sure whether they're sleeping, or suddenly dying, I get really panicked too and prolly scare the crap out of them some nights turning on the tank lights

I have noticed that my fish have these really weird "buggy" eyes when they are sleeping. They seem to just have this blank stare about them. Who knows!

Fish sleep with half their brain off to put it in simple terms. Very rarely will you see the fish completely inactive and totally asleep unless you can see them in a low light setting or have night vision goggles. :p Most of the time mine are swimming around active when I see them though at night I leave them alone rather than startle them. Occasionally I'll catch my cories napping but my other fish all have well hidden places to sleep in.

Yes they do
But i have only ever seen it a few times in my silver dollars

Fish def sleep some fish do it differently.

Tetra's just seem to find someplace with little current and stay very still.
Loaches usually find someplace to lay down and for some reason mine seem to like laying with their heads facing down.
My oscar(may he rest in peace) used to just lay down on the sandy bottom with his side resting on a rock.
