Do Fast Growing Plants Overtake Slow Growing Ones?

should i take away all the dead leaves and algae leaves and if it still loses leaves return it?

try to describe it as best you can then :D

if you want i could take it out of the water and take better pics.

after a rigourous and mercilless pruning i discovered this

what are these plants? i swear im never buying plants from them again.

hello? could really use your help. :D

100% non-aquatic Ophiopogon sp. Remove it and place it in a plant pot.

Other stuff is just a type of moss, probably Java moss but I'm not great with telling the difference between moss species using close up.

The first picture looks like anacharis.

could you specify which first picture?
1st one one the thread?page?post?

100% non-aquatic Ophiopogon sp. Remove it and place it in a plant pot. aww.. ill return it then.

Other stuff is just a type of moss, probably Java moss but I'm not great with telling the difference between moss species using close up..... :yahoo: :yahoo: can someone confirm this? i wanted a carpet plant and since i have this it will be great! i only have two bits of it and a rock, will these two bits grow still?

i think im just gonna have my current swords and anubias and money wort along with the hopefully java moss and ludwigia. (optional quesation below)

btw since im trying to thouroghly plan out a 55 gallon tank before i get it by the end of the year at the latest i was gonna ask what plants to get for it? most of them need grow tall and be broad leafed to meet fishy reqs.

The first picture looks like anacharis.
that was my initial thought, too. but then mojo showed a full shot of the plant in question and it is undoubtedly some sort of moss. just tie it to a rock (or whatever) and it will grow.
as to what plants to get for your tank, find out how much lighting you have. certain plants are more demanding than others in the way of lighting. i know youve given your specs in this thread, but im no good with that stuff, where other members will be more helpful. (maybe start another thread JUST for your lighting in the planted section).
cheers

thank you all for your help! i coudnt find plastic wire and ended up using a rubber band to fasten what was left of the moss i could find, i also herad it like current so i put it in front of my filter, hope it grows!

and ill do wat you said lorachix by puttig a new thread for the 55.

you guys can let this drop if you want.
