hi i have a Redtail catfish Tiger shovelnose cross about more then a foot long and i was experimenting if they would eat anything really small like a bunch of live ghost shrimp witch all or most cat fish love to eat and of course they are small and when they were in there my cat fish didnt do anything?is he not hungry?he blind or anything

They'll get eaten eventaully. Saying that, you'd be hard pressed to find tankmates bigger than a full sized RTCxTSN...

For this cat fish, you're going to need to get larger tank mates, Oscars and green terrors atleast 6-8" is the smallest you can put in there, however since it is a red-tailed cat it will get quite large. what size tank do you have right now? and are you planning on upgrading to a 500gallon for this fish anytime soon? other wise I'd recommend taking it back to you lfs unless of course you have a pond and live in a warm climate area.
