Do All Corys School Together?

Hi love_fish :)

C. sterbai are often available locally. It's just a matter of finding them in stock. While there are still wild caught ones on the market, many are now tank raised and usually only cost around five or six dollars. It's just a matter of having patience and browsing in different lfs on a regular basis.

Sooner or later you will get lucky. :D

Cool, we have like 4 pet stores in the area, there is only one very good and knowledgeable store though.

is there any difference in the care for Sterbai than other corys?

Wild Caught are usually around $10 i think becaue they're still pretty rare. They're a little pricey to have a school of 6 since they're so cool looking.

YES!! I found one sterbai in magic isle today. It was $13 but it looked really healthy so i just had to get it. Im acclimating him now! I may have to give some cories away now so i dont overcrowd them. I have 10 in a 29 gallon with some other fish which is way too much, so i might give away 2 of them.

 Good Job!

only one?

I am thinking about Corydoras Trilineatus or Corydoras Polystictus, can anyone give me some info on their price and if theyll be good in my tank (instead of the peppered corys)

I have 2 trilineatus, and i tihnk they'd be great. They're pretty hardy and survived the cycle with great colors when i knew nothing about fishless cycling. They also looks spectacular.

Forgot to mention i got the trilineatus for $4 a piece.

Thanks, that is wonderful, i can actually afford $4 a piece!

Any special requirements for them? What kind of food do they like?

Are they easy to breed?

C. trilineatus are pretty easy to find in your LFS. Just look for the tank labeled "Julii Cory" and you are sure to be looking at a tank full of trilineatus. There is nothing special about their upkeep, or at least nothing special that I do. I just saw some recently at my LFS and they were real cheap, like 3 for 7 bucks I think.

I like my trilineatus as they come out of hiding a little more than most others, with the notable exception being pandas which can be seen all day.
